About
Cathy &
Christopher Chisum
Cathy and Christopher Chisum are a great team, not only when it
comes to glamour photography, but in life as well. Both have skills that
are complimentary to the others, and both have drive. Their place in
the Glamour Photography business however seems to be more fate than
anything else.
Cathy and Chris both developed a love for
picture taking at an early age. As a girl Cat
would often a company her father, who was
also a professional photographer at one point,
on jobs. She found a very deep enjoyment
taking pictures of horses at horse shows. While
Cathy was growing up enjoying pictures of
horses Chris found himself looking forward to
the holidays when his parents would allow him
to take control of the family camera. When
Chris got into Lumberton High school he began
studying photography seriously and with the
help of an opened minded teacher and a some
close friends
Chris began learning his eventual craft. While in high school he had lots of success many of his classmates ask
him to take their pictures and  when his school held its yearly photography contest, Chris along with about 20
other students entered four photographs three of them placed. Chris took first place by one point and then tied
himself for second. While he was happy winning it was being creative that really brought him joy. During her
high school career Cathy's her family moved to Baytown where she attended Lee High School.
After High school Cathy decided to attend Sam Houston University
where she earned a bachelors degree in accounting.  Chris went a
different rout enlisting in the Army and serving in the 82nd
Airborne. Shortly after being discharged in 1994 Chris found
himself in Baytown working and starting a life. Cathy too had
returned to Baytown after graduation. Through the 90's they
would each lay down Baytown roots, both would marry, though not
to each other, both would have children, for Cathy a girl and a boy
and for Chris a boy.Cathy would go to work for the Local College
using her degree. Chris would eventually begin to fallow his dream
taking a job with "Glamour Shots" in 1996, while working there he
would study Photography at local colleges including HCC's
professional photography program. In 1998 he would open Chisum
Photography. Though he would build a great client base work  was
always very up and down.
In 2005 and 2006 both Cathy and Chris would find their luck
running out. They would both see their marriages end. For Cathy
it would be a painful divorce, for Chris it would be through death.
This time period would be both dark and lonely for both of them
and their children. Their luck however would change for the better
when Cathy answered an on-line personal ad from Chris. The two
seemed to have great chemistry and after chatting a while they
decided to meet for lunch. Their connection was immediate and
they forged a friendship that quickly turned to romance.
Shortly after they started dating Chris took Cathy and her children out for a photo session. Cathy was impressed
with the pictures and quickly took interest in the photography business. Though Chris had decided to give up his
business Cathy began helping him with his remaining jobs, including the wedding of Olympic Gold Medalist
Domonique Moceanu, to Dr Micheal Canales, which would lead to one of the photos being published in "People"
Magazine. Cathy did more than just assist Chris she displayed a certain amount of natural talent and began
taking pictures as well. She also urged Chris to continue working and with her help he decided to give Chisum
Photography another try.
Around Summer Chris and another
photographer had agreed to do some boudoir
pictures for some friends at a party. Chris
urged Cat to have her pictures made. Though
she was nervous Cat decided to do it. She was
blown away by the results. Like many women
she didn't see herself as any sort of  sex
symbol, but it was undeniable she looked
fantastic and very sexy, and to her surprise
she had a great time. Cathy began asking
Chris to take more pictures and began began
posting them on her 360, and myspace pages.
She began getting alot of attention and
compliments, with many people wanting to
know where she had them done. The couple
truly enjoyed doing the pictures and both
enjoyed the idea of making other people feel
good as well. Chris also reveled in the thought
of being more creative.
Though Cathy and Chris were doing well putting
Chisum Photography back together and they were
excited about a possible new business they elected
to put things off to focus on family issues. The two
had grown very close to each other and their
respective children, and after a little thought they
decided to get married. On June 2, 2007
Christopher and Cathy Chisum were married in
front of their parents, children and closest friends,
in a ceremony that truly reflected their unique
style. The joy continued later that year when on
October 28, 2007 they gave birth to their first child
together, a bouncing baby boy. Suddenly these two
broken families were healed as one and ready to
take on the world.

In early 2008 they would start doing glamour
photography, deciding to call that part of Chisum
Photography "Cat's Glamour" because of Cat's love
of Glamour Photography. In the summer of 2008
they would also open "Cat's Playground" for couple
wanting a little spice in life.

Though owning two businesses and raising a family
of six is a challenge Cathy and Chris have
considered it a labor of love, and they find strength,
passion and creativity in each other.
